Malaquias just … Malaquias just because it has a melody and a pop song structure doesn’t mean it’s generic. There’s nothing else in pop/rock that sounds like the Fiery Furnaces, their arrangements and instrumentation are really unique. The verse progression is kind of dissonant I guess but it sounds bouncy and fun so who cares
