How can I make my freshwater tropical aquarium more similar to the wild?

I’ve got some tropical fish in my tank but I want to make it more like the wild. Basicly I want to put a few natural predators in the tank. Can anyone tell me any?
Unless your current fish are rapidly reproducing, your "like the wild" approach will rapidly result in a predator only tank.
If you want to make it more like the wild, add plants, add rock, add driftwood….

WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!?!?!?! Are you stupid? Do you want your fish to die? Just flush them if you do not want them! UGH THAT IS ANIMAL CRUELTY!!!! Do not do it!

First off, how big is your tank?
If it’s really large, you can rehome the fish you have now, or take them out and put them in a different tank for now.
Make the bottom a mixture of sand and flouramax or something. Get a peice or two of drift wood, large rocks. Pick a biotope, the amazon river would be a good one. Find live plants that are all from that same place.
Then find medium sized to large predator fish that are from the amazon river.
Put some feeder fish in there.
You’re done.

Putting predators in a tank to make it more natural?
Let’s see …. predators eat prey.Prey is gone. Now what do they eat?
In nature, prey reproduces and can also avoid predators… can’t do either of those in a tank.
That’s why it’s called "nature"…. "natural" things happen THERE.
Only similar "natural" thing to what you’ll see in that tank,is what I see when it’s "Crab Legs Night" down at the "all you can eat" buffet.

Yes, sure, I’ll tell you. When you die, in your afterlife, you will become a feeder fish.
