Will my Queensland proof of age card be accepted out in Sydney?
February 19, 2010 - 2:25 am
I’ve only ever lived in Queensland and i don’t have my drivers license or like taking my passport out so i only ever use my proof of age card. Some have told me this will not work however. Anyone know if i am able to use it out in Sydney?
It should be, but you cant always guarantee it. Some of my friends have Canberra proof of age cards and a handful of pubs around NSW dont like it and occasionally wont let them in with it. But most of the time we don’t have a problem, and you should be fine. Just take a secondary form of id with you, like a student card to help prove it is you, just in case.

All they want to know is your age. As long as it’s got your DOB on it, I’m sure they will accept it.

A government issued proof of age card with photo should be accepted anywhere in Australia.

Yes it will
Any club or pub HAS to accept it under the liquor act of 2007
Of course, if it is damaged in ANY way, no one will honour it.
