Sunshine Coast, Queensland

March 18, 2010 - 3:43 pm 25 Comments

Just north of Brisbane, Queensland’s Sunshine Coast offers a relaxed, yet sophisticated lifestyle. Encompassing the coastline from Caloundra to Rainbow Beach and the lush countryside of the hinterland, the beauty of this region will captivate you.

The beaches of the Sunshine Coast are varied with gentle waves to serious surf, while idyllic coastal towns are perfect for both romantic getaways and family holidays. If you prefer a cosy holiday nestled amongst the hills and beautiful Glasshouse Mountains, then wander through the hinterland where you can browse among local delicacies at markets and fresh food stalls.

So be prepared to tempt your tastebuds in Noosa, untie your purse-strings at Eumundi Markets and bring out your inner child at Australia Zoo. You’ll soon realise that one visit to the Sunshine Coast is simply not enough.

Queensland State Election

March 12, 2010 - 4:18 pm 25 Comments

My submission to Project Next with the ABC.

The parties in question:

Australian Labor Party:
http://www.alp.org.au/

And their leader in Queensland, Anna Bligh:

(this link might need to change should the LNP win the election)

Liberal National Party:

And their leader Lawrence Springborg:

For the benefit of the Americans (and anyone else who’s confused) I should clarify: ‘Liberal’ in Australia actually means right-wing, so the Liberal Party here is kind-of-sort-of similar to your Republican Party.

March 5, 2010 - 1:29 am 1 Comment

I’m 17 and will be 18 in the next month. I just want to know step by step how to get a motorbike licence in queensland. I only have my learner licence for a car so i would appreciate it if i got the the steps to geting a MB licnece from that point.

Thanks in advance :)

I really dunno – if you could post this question you could find the appropriate website for the Qld Dept. of motor transport& get the proper info.Or better still go to your nearest motor registery and talk to someone that knows. He who tries succeeds – he who sits on his a$$ gets nothing.

Can anyone suggest some great walking trails in Queensland?

February 27, 2010 - 3:32 am 9 Comments

My gf and I love bush walking & we’d want to know some great walking tracks around the Queensland area.

You will really love Springbrook on the gold coast hinterland, it is absolutely beautiful there and quite a number of tracks to do at different waterfalls.
The other ones are Glasshouse Mountains and then you have the ones on the Sunshine coast hinterland.

what is the minimum IELTS score needed for Queensland’s position on the SRS visa?

February 25, 2010 - 1:38 am 1 Comment

I have 7 score in IELTS and am trying for the migration.
what is the minimum IELTS score needed for Queensland’s position on the SRS visa?

It depends on your occupation but in general, 7s across the 4 bands will be more than enough for Queensland SRS sponsorship. 5s would be enough for most trades and 6s for most other occupations.
