    No, I think you …
No, I think you fail to understand how giving evidence works, I don’t have to do research or do all, that’s your job, since you’re the one making these wild claims, This is just further proof to me that you dont know what you’re talking about.

  5. Alaska47Boy Says:

    Those “stats” are …
Those “stats” are called evidence- you know, things you use to back claims up. Yup- around half of the US has been divorced. I’m not looking up the journals for you, I pointed you in the direction, & cited the ones to start with- the rest is up to you to investigate. Let’s keep talking divorce rates. Compare divorce rates of people who: parents still married, have an education level above high school, proport a belief in God- to those who have none of these. It would mean more “stats,” ouch.

  6. FuriousTealeaf Says:

    I don’t want to …
I don’t want to argue with you because you just pull statistics out of your ass. More than half of america is divorced? Sure, sure. And there was nothing subtle about that insult, if you though you were being clever there you must be a bigger retard than I though, I can’t argue with you since you say ”Look at the studies!” without citing any that support what you’re saying. That’s why I don’t want to ”debate” you; it’s impossible.

  7. Alaska47Boy Says:

    Ha, yeeaah….um, …
Ha, yeeaah….um, ignoring that you do not “know” me- the statement wasn’t literal; I was subtlely making fun of you. Let me put the ‘debate club’ thing in a way you’ll comprehend: you’re unable to clearly or rationaly derive formal arguments or argue effectively.

Again, come back when you’re able to argue a point without substituting 7 year-old logic of name calling. Then perhaps you and your arguments will be taken seriously.

  8. FuriousTealeaf Says:

    Hahaha, you’re …
Hahaha, you’re possibly the only person I know of who would consider being hated by a debate club a bad thing.

  9. Alaska47Boy Says:

    Hmmm. that’s not a …
Hmmm. that’s not a rebuttal. Personal attack in place of real argument- tell me, how bdly did the other kids on the debate club hate you? A lot? A little? It’s ok- you can tell me.

Seriously, though- I am aware you do not posess the ability to argue or articulate your thoughts rationaly, but please don’t take it out on me. Come back when you’re able to address any of the points I just made in the previous posts, or don’t come back.

What and idiot – he …
What and idiot – he cant even stand by his own convictions. By the way people scientology is a cult and not a church nor a religion.

Oh and they dont believe in psychology/psychiatry but they get people to do a ‘personality test’ of which they ‘analyse’ and tell you what is wrong with you and how the COS (stands for Cult Of Scientology) can help you overcome your shortcomings! Hilarious!

How do people get suckered into this or any other hairbrained, money grabbing cult.

  14. OpenComments Says:

    The beliefs are not …
The beliefs are not the issue – Its the bait and switch and the destructive official policies the Church of Scientology holds. If you go to any other religion and ask what theyre all about theyll tell you. Free of charge. However, in Scientology you dont really learn what the religion is about until youve already invested some 300,000 US dollars into it.

In order for consumers to make a reasoned choice they must have the facts on what they are buying.

  15. FuriousTealeaf Says:

    Just of you …
Just of you sad peice of shit.

  16. Alaska47Boy Says:

So much for your ” …
So much for your “highest divorce rates in the world” theory, huh? The national averge is between 50-60 percent, so you’re looking at significantly lower rtes. Also look at studies on people who live together before they get married & spiritual people to compare those divorce rates. Pretty interestng stuff.

You’re right- spiritual people do report having not only more purpose in life, but also higher rates of well-being. What “discriminatory beliefs” are you talking about, what divide?

  17. CrazyHorseRunningBat Says:

    Scientology is …
Scientology is nothing more than a money making private business to brainwash the rich and public celebrities. Its sad to see a walking zombie like Tom Cruise used this way. In time Tommy Boy will come out of his fog like others are now and denounce this “religious” scam for what it is. A propganda money making cult.

  18. FuriousTealeaf Says:

    A study by the …
A study by the Barna Research Group showed that 30% of Jews had been devorced, 27% of Born-Again Christians, 24% of other Christians, and 21% of Atheists and Agnostics. Sure, people may experience more purpose in their life if they feel like they are working for a greater cause such as god, but equally the discriminatory beliefs that religions preach can easily divide families.

  19. GeistWerk Says:

    it’s just as …
it’s just as hilariously ridiculous as the bible, when you think about it ;)

  20. Alaska47Boy Says:

    Sure! Go look at …
Sure! Go look at the publications, medical and scientific data and various and counless studies, to find that people with faith enjoy mny pragmatic and measurable benefits. Check out the Div 36 of the APA for starters.

Go check the stats again on your divorce rates. “Religious people?” How religious? Which religion? Those who proport a belief in God? Those who attend church? Those who are spirituaI? I think you should work on your data and rethink it a little more.

    What’s stopping you …
What’s stopping you? If you want to protest Christianity or Islam go right ahead. But don’t get all butt hurt because people want to protest something that you aren’t interested in, like Scientology and it’s abuses. Who made you the leader of all protest movements?
You had better get started on those signs for your big anti Christianity protest. Or will you be starting off with an anti Isalm protest?
