All I can say is no crab-apple, they are the messiest trees on the planet! I have one in my front yard and I hate it! Crab apples everywhere and they don’t rake up well, very messy and they attract bees.

I would go with chickweed or coleus. Both are easy to grow. You can have the chickweed from my lawn if you want! Free to a good bird loving home

african violets are the best plant to have and they grow so beautifully
and with the right soil they bloom the biggest,cutest flowers ever!
