Hi, i think i have a kentia palm plant. it is dying. how can you tell if it needs more water?

it is more brown than yellow and shriveled looking. it was fine during the spring but now i dont know if i need to water it more or less. please help.

Over watering will cause yellowing tips, then yellow speckling, followed by browning.
So cut back on the water. These links may help.
