indoor soccer has no out of bounds and is a much faster moving game. Whereas outdoor soccer has complete out of bounds and is therefore a lot slower.

In indoor you cant play the ball of the net, and you cant slide tackle

I am sure rules are the same. The length and size of the field might be different but overall they are similar.

Indoor Soccer:
-There are walls (about 4-8 feet high).
-There are 6 players on the field per team (5 field & 1 goalkeeper).
-There is a midfield line and 2 "Blue Lines", like in hockey.
- The field is about 50yards long and 20yards wide.
Outdoor Soccer:
-There are chalk lines and the ball is out of bounds once it has completely crossed them.
- There are 11 players on the field per team (10 field and 1 goalkeeper).
-The field is about 110 yards long and 50 yards wide.
There are numerous rule differences, but the core sport is the same. Some of the rule differences are that in most indoor soccer leagues you can not slide tackle, you can not kick/advance the ball in the air over all three lines, you only have 5 seconds to take a free kick, there are penalty shots like in hockey, the goals are smaller…

ok, so outdoor soccer is more formal per se. there are off sides, a more tactical formation of players, and it has more players (11). indoor soccer i guess you could say is more casual. There are 6 players, and the formation isn’t as set in stone. You can hit the ball off the wall and there are no off sides. indoor soccer seems to be faster because there are no "outs" corners, goal kicks, etc. you have to be in excellent condition, because there are no breaks. both are fun! if you are more of a skillful player, i would say that outdoor is more fun, but if you are more scrappy on the field, like a good tackler, i would recommend indoor.

Smaller teams, goals, pitch. Different ball, most regular rules apply.
