How will I be paid if my company offers holiday pay and then asks me to come in to work on the holiday?

My company offers holiday pay for the major holidays of the year. Occasionally, I am asked to work an hour or two on those holidays. The employee handbook states that we will be paid double time if we work on a holiday. Does that mean that I will receive the holiday pay (at standard pay) plus double time for the hour or two that I work making my pay for the one or two hours essentially triple time?
yes you will in fact get three times the hourly rate!!!

You will get paid double your regular pay. I am not understanding your math really but I know double means double for holiday pay. My hubby gets time and a half for example.

I think it is double pay instead of holiday pay, not double pay in addition to holiday pay.
