Here’s the deal, i won a free vacation and i live in southwest florida (Ft. Myers) I am willing to drive anywhere up to about 15 hours way for this vacation as far as maybe the carolinas. Or all teh way down to the keys. I want to go to a place that allows drinking alcohol ont he beach. I wanted to go to Daytona beach but you can not drink on the beach. Where can i do this?

Well, I’ve been to Hilton Head Island and there was drinking there. I’m from Canada so drinking is legal just about everywhwere here :-) All I can vouch for is North and South Carolina. I didn’t have any problems there.

Which beach? I can tell you it’s NOT allowed on most of the Mid Atlantic beaches– OC Maryland, Assategue (not sure about its camping areas), Rehobeth, the Wildwoods, Cape May, etc.. In Nags Head NC it’s technically not legal, but not enforced. If you keep quiet, no one will say anything. I think this is true of most of NC and SC beaches.

I think it’s best if you took the liquor out of the glass bottles. If you keep it cool, you should be fine.
