I’m sure you’ll have a great time, regardless of where you live. I have made amazing friends and have had the time of my life. My UCL experience has been wonderful.
You can find them on my main channel page (just click on my user name) and then you’ll see a playlist called “Yankin’ it in Europe”.

Thanks alot! I’m just a little undecided about everything, and feel more comfortable with people from here who know everything and are similar to me, not that I dont get along/want ot experience other cultures, I just want great friends. Where can I find episode 1 and 2?

Ifor is dorm-style (long corridors with single rooms).

According to the …
According to the UCL propaganda (if I remember it correctly), UCL is one of the most diverse schools in the UK. Most of the graduate students are international while it seems that the freshers (first years) are more so from the UK. However, I wouldn’t worry about needing people to relate to- everyone here is extremely awesome and its easy to make friends. Also, the diversity aspect is a great part about UCL- you get to experience many different cultuers in your own hall.

ALso, could you do …
ALso, could you do a video on the inside of the halls to give a really good insight to what it’s like, cheers!

October 3rd, 2009 at 5:35 pm
Most students are …
Most students are first years, but foreign first year masters students (such as myself) also are given housing. My floor in Ifor is mostly graduate students but Ifor is mostly first years overall.

Well, I guess I’ll …
Well, I guess I’ll have to represent for International Hall, since you didn’t visit that one. It is a bit more expensive than some of the other intercollegiate halls, but it is well worth it. I had a double studio flat to myself and lived in a part of the hall that kept very quiet and had pleasent neighbours. Only problem is that the staff in the cafeteria can be anal about portions and methods of payment.

Eh, regardless, …
Eh, regardless, thanks for watching and for your input. Sorry you had such a bad Ifor experience.
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:35 pm
Eh, I actually …
Eh, I actually don’t mind it. I’m staying on a floor of mostly graduate students, so perhaps it’s a little cleaner than a floor full of freshers. And it seems like the security you described is on par with any of the other halls- except we have a huge gate. People had stuff stolen? How? Don’t people lock their doors? I haven’t heard anything about stolen stuff.
Also, I’m not really minding the food- sure there are some off nights, but then again, it’s cafeteria food and not that bad at all.

I lived in Ifor …
I lived in Ifor Evans in 2005 and it was terrible. I’ve stayed in cleaner places in rural Bolivia. The food was disgusting and the security consisted of one 45 year old guy who spent most of his time chatting to students. Needless to say ALOT of people had things stolen.
Having said that it was nice being catered for, one less thing to worry about.
It may well have improved since then but there were far better halls, John Dodgson was nice I seem to remember.
