How can I present my holiday party goodie bags in a unique and classy way?
It needs to be luxurious and more on the emphasis of holiday rather than Christmas. The theme is gold and silver.
Buckets or tins would work. How about a holiday wineglass tied with a bow and filled with goodies.
What photo editing software highlights just certain objects and leaves the others black and white?
I am wanting to purchase professional photo editing software that will help me highlight a certain object in the picture. Example: I want a black and white photo with only the blue eyes showing in color. What software should I buy and it this an easy task to accomplish?
In PhotoShop, you can select the blue eyes and then go to "Select" and inverse the selection. Now everything but the blue eyes will be selected. You then go under Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation and desaturate everything. That will turn everything to black and white except the eyes.
I’ll try one and link it here.
OK, there’s an example for you. There are other ways to achieve this result, but I this worked really fast. You can also change the color — make everything black and white but give him red eyes.
Can anyone suggest some great walking trails in Queensland?
My gf and I love bush walking & we’d want to know some great walking tracks around the Queensland area.
You will really love Springbrook on the gold coast hinterland, it is absolutely beautiful there and quite a number of tracks to do at different waterfalls.
The other ones are Glasshouse Mountains and then you have the ones on the Sunshine coast hinterland.

How to measure Beach gradient with a clinometer and rulers?
how would you measure the gradient of a beach with a clinometer and rulers, or even just a clinometer. if you could tell me in detail i would be very greatfull thanks.
The essential parts of a clinometer are a flat side, or base, on which it stands, and a hollow disk just half filled with some heavy liquid. The glass face of the disk is surrounded by a graduated scale that marks the angle at which the surface of the liquid stands, with reference to the flat base. The line 0.—0. being parallel to the base, when the liquid stands on that line, the flat side is horizontal; the line 90.—90. being perpendicular to the base, when the liquid stands on that line, the flat side is perpendicular or plumb. Intervening angles are marked, and, with the aid of simple conversion tables, the instrument indicates the rate of fall per set distance of horizontal measurement, and set distance of the sloping line.
Step
1
Position yourself at the required distance from the object you want to measure. The distance, referred to as the baseline distance, varies by clinometer type. For example, the baseline distance for a metric clinometer might be 15 meters.
Step
2
Hold the clinometer right-side up in one hand. The information printed on the lens in the clinometer only provides accurate information when you hold the clinometer right-side up, and the "up" side is indicated on the clinometer’s case.
Step
3
Look with one eye through the lens at the object you want to measure. The scale on the clinometer’s lens will be visually projected onto the object.
Step
4
Visually position the object against the scale displayed on the clinometer’s lens. Note the values on the scale for the base and top of the object. Using a metric clinometer to measure the height of a pole, you might observe that the base of the pole aligns with the number three on the clinometer lens’s scale and the top of the pole aligns with the number six.
Step
5
Subtract the bottom value from the top value to determine the height of the object in units based on your clinometer’s type. In this example, the top value for the pole is six and the bottom value is three. Subtracting six from three yields the measurement of three meters in height for the pole.

Bay leaves: If I used them crushed, do I still have to avoid eating them when my meal is ready?
I’m making jamalaya, which calls for one bay leaf. The leaf is to be taken out before serving, however, I only have crushed bay leaves on hand. So, are they still inedible even if crushed?
You should remove the bay leaf if you use a whole one. If you only have crushed bay leaves, you can place them in a tea ball or tea strainer (little metal ball for brewing loose-leaf tea), cook it in the pot and then take the ball out before serving. You can do the same thing with cheese cloth or a coffee filter; take a coffee filter or a square of cheese cloth, place about a leaf’s worth of crushed bay, then tie it into a sachet with a string. Cook it in the pot, then remove it before serving. Yum, jambalaya! Hope this helps!
